Calcium is a macromineral involved in bone formation, blood clotting, necessary for maintaining a stable cardiac activity, the processes of transmission of nerve impulses. Improves muscles in muscular dystrophy, myasthenia gravis, reduces vascular permeability. At/in the introduction of calcium causes excitation of the sympathetic nervous system and increased release of adrenal adrenaline, has mild diuretic effect.
Indications for use
Failure of function of the parathyroid glands, gipocalziemia, allergic diseases, bleeding, poisoning salts of magnesium, oxalic acid and fluoride.
Contraindications
Hypercalcemia, hypercoagulability, and atherosclerosis. Limitation to the use of the children's age (for intravenous administration).
Method of application
For oral single dose of 1-3 g, the multiplicity of reception - 2-3 in/in or/m introduction of the solution of calcium gluconate single dose of the drug must correspond to 2.25-4.5 mmol of calcium. The solution of calcium chloride is injected in/in struino (slowly) in a dose of 500 mg/drip in a dose of 0.5-1 g.
